These are one of the few semi-open earbuds with noise cancelling, and it’s impressive. They do not have rubber eartips, so your ears are slightly open to the world around you, but the noise cancelling does an impressive job of quelling chatter, air conditioners and plane noise, in my experience. You can learn more in my Apple AirPods 4 ANC review.
With the recent launch of the AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Pro 2 are naturally on sale, while supplies last. They are still some of my favorite wireless earbuds — they’re compact, comfortable, and have excellent noise-cancellation and transparency modes I use often on the go. They also easily sync with your other Apple devices.
If you hate the feeling of rubber eartips in your ears, the regular AirPods are the ones to get. They have a semi-open design that leaves your ears open to hear the environment around you. This version does not have noise-cancelling, however.
NBC Select editorial projects manager Rebecca Rodriguez has used the over-ear AirPods Max for years — they sound excellent, and make her music and shows really pop. They have excellent noise cancelling and transparency modes, and come in five colors.
Apple’s most affordable iPad is at the lowest price we’ve seen, making this a great deal. This A16 is great for most iPad things: think relaxing, video calls, watching shows and reading books and recipes. It has a large, high-resolution display and speakers on each side for stereo-like audio.
My favorite iPad, the iPad Air, has premium features without the premium price of the iPad Pro. It has an anti-reflective screen with great color contrast and depth compared to the iPad (A16). It’s also faster, making it better for artists and gamers, especially because it’s compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro.
The iPad Mini is Apple’s smallest tablet: 8.3 inches across, compared to the 11 inches found on most of Apple’s other tablets. Like the iPad Air, it has an anti-glare screen with rich color contrast and depth, but its smaller size makes it better suited to travel and the outdoors. It’s also compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro.
Apple recently launched the Apple Watch Series 11, meaning now is a great time to take advantage of deals on the Series 10 (while supplies last). I’ve worn the Series 10 for about a year — it’s great for everything, health tracking, sleeping tracking, exercise tracking, app notifications, tap-to-pay, you name it. You can learn more in my Apple Watch Series 10 review.
The Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen) has always been a steal, and this deal only makes that more true. Despite its lower price, it has advanced health, sleep and fitness tracking, plus a bright, square screen that’s easy to read notifications on. It charges more slowly than newer models, though.
The Apple Watch Ultra 3 launched last month so, naturally, the previous Ultra 2 is one sale right now. It’s still an excellent option, with a large, bright screen, durable titanium body and water resistance up to 100 meters. It also gets up to 36 hours of battery life, more than every other Apple Watch (outside the new Ultra 3).
Any discount on the MacBook Air is a good thing. It’s already an excellent value for the sleek design and smooth performance you get — it’s one of our favorite laptops for anyone on the go. This version has the latest M4 chip inside, which has improved all-around performance, and a new webcam that can automatically keep you centered during video calls.
While I prefer the 13-inch MacBook Air for portability, there’s no denying the benefits of a larger, 15-inch screen — it makes photo, video and spreadsheet work in particular much easier. While this model is only 17% off, it’s matching the best price we’ve seen.
I use Apple AirTags on my keys and my checked bag whenever I travel. The simple Bluetooth tracker uses Apple’s Find My app to pinpoint the precise location of the AirTag, or in my case, my keys or luggage. The single AirTag is also on sale if you only need one, though the discount isn’t as good. You can learn more in our Apple AirTag review.
This 6.5-foot-long USB-C charging cable is steeply discounted and supports power up to 240 watts — enough for basically any Apple device. It’s made of a woven material that gets tangled less often than plastic and silicone cables, in my experience.
If you have an iPad Air, iPad Pro or iPad Mini, you may want to consider picking up an Apple Pencil Pro to go with it. It behaves more like a real pencil than other models because of extra features like double-tap, squeeze functions, pressure sensitivity and more.
This power brick has two USB-C ports, so you can charge two smaller devices like iPhones, iPads or AirPods. It can deliver up to 35 watts of power, meaning fast charging speed on most small Apple devices (but not laptops).
These Beats earbuds are nearly 50% off this Prime Day, meaning you get noise-cancelling, transparency, on-ear controls, a charging case and easy pairing to Apple (and Android) devices for under $100. The buds get up to eight hours of battery life, with the case bringing that number up to 24 hours.
These over-ear headphones are over 50% off, and are a great alternative to earbuds if you are looking for long battery life and more detailed sound quality. The Beats Studio Pro can connect wirelessly over Bluetooth or wired with the included USB-C cable, and get up to 40 hours of battery life on a single charge, making them well-suited for travel.
If you love your old wired earbuds but are tempted to go wireless, the Beats Flex are a good middle ground between the two. They connect to your device wirelessly over Bluetooth, but have a wire connecting each bud that helps prevent separation or one bud flying out of your ear. They get up to 12 hours of battery life on a single charge and work well on both Apple and Android devices.
This is Beats’ newest Bluetooth speaker, and while it looks similar to older models, it has major improvements like IP67 water and dust-resistance, a 24-hour battery life and the ability to charge smaller devices. The speaker works with both Apple and Android devices.
If you’re planning a trip abroad, a good travel adapter is a must-have. This is one of my favorites — it covers all the essentials but is more compact than many competitors. You can use it in the UK, EU or Australia, and it has one three-pong outlet, two USB-C and two USB-A ports.
This wireless charging stand from Belkin folds down to a smaller size, so it’s better suited to travel than the Anker MagGo 3 above. It can charge your phone and wireless earbuds quickly with Qi2 charging compatibility.
I test a lot of gadgets, and having one charging block with both a USB-C and a USB-A port means I can plug in and charge pretty much anything. And this charging block is one sale for about $13 this Prime Day, a steal in my experience.
This compact power bank, which is at its lowest price ever right now, is my on-the-go sidekick to prevent that dreaded low battery alert for my iPhone and AirPods. It’s got a retractable charging cord that’s there when you need it and you can tuck it away when you don’t. It’s especially great for charging my devices when I’m traveling.
If you want to charge your iPhone, Apple Watch and earbuds at the same time, I highly recommend a three-in-one charging station like this one. It has a stacked design that is well-suited to desks and nightstand, but less-so for compact travel. It comes with a charging cable and block, so you have everything you need to get started in the box.
Here are the best Prime Big Deal Days Apple sales to know about. Keep in mind, not every item from a brand is discounted as described below.
All of my recommendations above are based on previous reviews and reporting I’ve done testing tech products for NBC Select. I also included products that the NBC Select staff tested, including Wellness Award winners. I ran each deal through price trackers like CamelCamelCamel to ensure products are at their lowest price in three months or the lowest price ever. All the products I recommend are also 20% off or more and highly rated with at least a 4.0-star average rating from hundreds of reviews.
I’m a reporter for NBC Select who covers fitness and technology, and I’ve covered deals and sales for years. I review products like wireless earbuds, smartwatches and cameras. Prior to Prime Big Deal Days, I previewed a list of deals from Amazon and sorted through them to find worthwhile sales you should know about.
