The MacBook Air is my go-to travel laptop — it’s sleek, slim, lightweight and powerful enough for most tasks. This version has Apple’s latest M4 chip inside, which has improved performance compared to previous models. It also has a new webcam that can keep you centered during video calls.
The 15-inch MacBook Air is a better fit for anyone who works with photos, videos or spreadsheets often — the extra screen real estate makes productivity easier, in my experience. While this model is only 17% off, it’s matching the best price we’ve seen.
This low-priced laptop from Asus is well-suited to basic tasks like research, watching videos and hopping on video calls. It gets up to 11 hours of battery life on a single charge, and has a physical shutter over the built-in webcam for when you’re not using it.
Chromebooks are some of the most affordable laptops you can buy, especially when they are on sale like this one. This 14-inch Acer laptop has a 1080p resolution screen and ChromeOS built-in — it’s best for using Google apps like Gmail, Google Docs, YouTube and Gemini. It’s not powerful enough for more complex work, though.
